MOST POPULAR PLACE at SOUTH BALI

South Bali is renowned for its sea, sand and the striking highland Peninsula of Bukit with its dramatic cliff faces. One of Bali's holiest temples, Pura Luhur Uluwatu, is set high on such a cliff, guarded by a band of macaque monkeys and affording stunning views of the ocean below.

Surfer were among the first visitor to spend time in this part of the island, marveling at the waves of such shores as Uluwatu, Bingin, and Dreamland. At Nusa Dua the first operational integrated tourist development in southeast Asia was created in the 1980s, a complex of five star hotels alongside a perfect stretch of beach.

PURA LUHUR ULUWATU
Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of Bali's nine key directional temples, in a spectacular clifftop setting 70 meters above the Indian Ocean. Visitors are free to walk around the temple grounds, while the central courtyards can only be entered during special rituals, and it is an experience that well worth braving the sometimes fearsome (and always thieving) monkeys. On the cliff adjacent to the temple, one of Bali's most memorable kecak performance can be witnessed every day at sunset. Below the temple is a large sea cave and Suluban Beach, one of the most famous surf spots on the island.

NUSA DUA & TANJUNG BENOA

The Nusa Dua Beach extends north joining the Paninsula of Tanjung Benoa and streching for about 4 km to Benoa Village. With white sand leading to calm waters, the beachfront at Tanjung Benoa is ideal for watersport activities.

JIMBARAN BEACH
Once a simple fishing village, Jimbaran and its 5-kilometers white sand coastline is now home to several of Bali's more upscale resort. But its finishing heritage is still an important part of the Jimbaran experience, no more so than at sunset on the beach, where there is a wide range of fish seafood restaurant to choose  from.
